Some of you may have heard that I have been working on a big project during the last three months. Well, the information has finally surfaced and I am previewing my images one full 24 hours before the public display at the Adventurer's Club in Downtown Disney, Orlando, Florida!

Some of you may not know this, but Pleasure Island (the adults-only nightclub section of Downtown Disney that rests right in the middle) will be closing down on Saturday, September 27th after their one final night. The dance clubs and improv comedy clubs will be then shut down in the process, including my favorite place, the Adventurer's Club!! D:

During the months I had ahead of time, I worked on a dedication set of the club's characters combined with Pokémon in a series of trading cards to create... the Pokémon Adventurer's Club! Here's the list of the characters:

The images will be on display during the finalé night of the Adventurer's Club, September 27th. If you happen to be in the Disney World area, come on down and join us for their final night and meet the artist!

Well, I was able to partake in the event of the Adv. Club's final night in the now-closed Pleasure Island of Downtown Disney, Orlando, FL, which took place on September 27th. As for the story of the visit itself... this will be complemented with video clips from my camera!

Having to get in was no picnic at all. The line getting inside stretched for hours! I got in just around 6:30 when I had to see the sight of this:

The line was hard to bear with, having to get the itch to watch the last moments of my favorite characters inside. The peoples of the Adv. Club thought ahead and installed televisions outside with live feed from inside the Library, where the big shows are hosted inside, and that kept us busy. Some of the most memorable moments happened in that Library:

Not only did we get to see what happened inside the Library, but a few of the characters came out to have some fun with us, keeping us entertained:

It was about two hours in line before we could even get a foot close to that door... more video footage and characters came about, even some free stuffs were passed around to remember them by... you can imagine how stressful it was waiting at this very point...

FINALLY! I am inside! YAAAAAY!... And dang, was it worth it. The lobby was just cluttered with people all over the place, there isn't really any room to squeeze around anybody. It was really tough to get around:

Oh, and if you are wondering who that random face was in the end, that was Raz the Red Yoshi.

While I was there, I got to enjoy some of the last moments of the Adventurer's Club... Otis actually able to win the Balderdash Cup, Samantha's show with the maids, all the way to their final show, The HOOPLA!! (HOOPLA!!) Which took a whole hour of memorable songs and special recognition to all who have been part of something that has been part of their lives for years... I will never forget them.

There has been rumors that they are to be relocated to another area of Walt Disney World, then again they are going to be claimed by someone else, or else they are gone for good... only time will tell what is true... but for now there will always be the memories...
